Takeda Appoints Rhonda Pacheco to Guide U.S. Business

Cambridge, MA, September 24, 2025 (Business Wire) -- Takeda announced that Rhonda Pacheco, formerly Group Vice President of U.S. Cardiometabolic Health at Eli Lilly, will become President of Takeda’s U.S. Business Unit effective September 29 and join the company’s Executive Team. She succeeds Julie Kim, who has been appointed to take over as Takeda’s CEO in June 2026, with Kim focusing on preparing for the leadership transition in the interim. Pacheco brings extensive experience in product launches and commercial leadership, most recently overseeing Eli Lilly’s GLP-1 portfolio, and emphasized her commitment to driving innovation and patient impact at Takeda.
