Qlaris Bio Appoints Fred Guerard as CEO

Dedham, MA, March 1, 2026 (Business Wire) -- Qlaris Bio has appointed Fred Guerard, Pharm.D., as president and chief executive officer, effective March 1, 2026, and he will also join the company’s board of directors. Guerard brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in ophthalmology and biotechnology, with a focus on advancing innovative therapies through late-stage development and commercialization. He succeeds Thurein Htoo, who helped establish the company and advance its pipeline and will remain through April 1 to support the leadership transition as the company moves its glaucoma therapy QLS-111 toward Phase 3 development.
