Deerfield, Ill, February 2, 2025 (Baxter) -- Baxter International announces the retirement of CEO José Almeida, effective immediately, with Brent Shafer appointed as interim CEO. Shafer steps down from his lead independent director role, which will be taken over by Nancy Schlichting.
