The agreement grants Stryker an exclusive option to acquire 100% of CMR Surgical’s outstanding equity in the future, subject to the terms of the agreement. Stryker will also become the exclusive U.S. sales agent for the Versius portfolio, while CMR Surgical will continue to lead product development and commercialization outside the United States. The partnership aims to expand access to robotic-assisted soft-tissue surgery, accelerate U.S. market growth, and strengthen both companies’ positions in the growing surgical robotics market. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
