Wolfgang Wienand Named New CEO of Lonza

Basel, Switzerland, April 2, 2024 (Lonza) -- In a strategic move, Lonza has announced the appointment of Wolfgang Wienand as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective summer 2024. Currently serving as the CEO of CDMO Siegfried Holding AG, Wolfgang brings extensive leadership experience, having held various senior roles within Siegfried's executive team since 2010. Wolfgang's appointment follows a period of transition led by Albert M. Baehny, who assumed the CEO role on an interim basis in October 2023. Albert will support the transition process at Lonza before retiring from the company.
