Deerfield, IL, May 8, 2023 (Reuters) -- Baxter International Inc. has agreed to sell its biopharma solutions unit to a private-equity group for $4.25 billion, with the proceeds being used to pay down debt from its acquisition of Hill-Rom Holdings. This comes as medical device manufacturers struggle with supply-chain shortages and increased costs due to the pandemic.
