Baxter Sells Kidney Care Segment to Carlyle for $3.8B in Strategic Realignment

Deerfield, IL. and New York, NY, August 13, 2024 (Baxter) -- Baxter International and Carlyle Group have finalized a $3.8 billion agreement for Carlyle to acquire Baxter’s Kidney Care segment, which will be rebranded as Vantive. The sale will provide Baxter with approximately $3.5 billion in cash and an estimated $3 billion in net after-tax proceeds. This transaction is part of Baxter's strategic plan to enhance performance and create value for stakeholders.
