A quick history of Jacobs Management Group
1989
​Our roots
Jacobs Management Group was founded in 1989 in a small office in Philadelphia, PA. Our office was stacked to the brim with filing cabinets containing paper resumes, industry lists, and rosters. Candidate presentations were mailed out first-class, and phones had buttons to dial out.
Fun Fact: In 1989 the first satellites started circling above the earth.
Fun Fact: In 1996 the first USB was introduced.
1996
Early Technology Adopter
With the increased technology revolution, we custom designed one of the early adopters of the, now commonly coined, Applicant Tracking System. Candidate submissions shifted from first-class mail to fax machines, and electronic records began to move to an e-filing system.
2014
Unchartered Territory
With a 25-year track record, our clients encouraged us to expand our functional prowess. Our technical functions were formed and we co-launched one of the first industry-specific magazines, HS&M.
Fun Fact: In 2014 the first Apple Watch was introduced.
Fun Fact: In 2021 Google Maps Live View was released.
2021
Strategic Acquisition
Our team embraced change as we encountered a new obstacle, a global pandemic. As the job market shifted, remote and hybrid work was on the rise. Through a strategic acquisition, our contract staffing division was born.

Passion and Pride
35 years later, we stand as one of the oldest and most prolific boutique search firms nationwide. Here's to the next 35 years...
